Solution

We used special diamond pads mounted on our floor machines to hone away the damage on the uppermost layer of the marble. Then we used progressively finer grit diamonds to achieve the beautiful, natural polish you see in these images. Our final step was to apply an impregating sealer to inhibit staining.
